Southport, NC

04/08
Southport is an adorable town near the mouth of Cape Fear River and it is no wonder why films like Safe Haven and A Walk to Remember would use this town as a filming site.
....did I mention Safe Haven the movie was based around this peaceful, picturesque town... Makes this little paradise a bit more attractive for visiting.
This town is also home to an 800 year old tree (if only trees could talk), a fishing pier with many friendly locals catching dinner, a street scattered with shells to walk on, an old brick jailhouse which was used from 1904 to 1971, and much more sea side charm.
If only one had the money to be able to live on one of the side streets and enjoy the charm of this town year round (though we did find a cute little yellow house for sale).
Off to Walmart we go...
Until we meet again.
Xoxo

Tip: if parking in a Walmart parking lot... buy ear plugs... Sometimes they enjoy cleaning and leaf blowing their parking lot in the middle of the night.
