A day of driving & some Bourbon Street

4/20
Today we drove through four states to get to our destination... New Orleans, Louisiana. It was a Saturday and we wanted to check out the night life on a hoppin' Saturday night (even though I bet all nights on Bourbon Street are wild). To make the day not all about driving we did stop in Pensacola, FL at a craft/farmers market and saw a festival on their pier.
We said goodbye to Florida, hello and goodbye to Alabama (some pictures from Mobile) and Mississippi, and hello to Louisiana.
When we arrived we went and found a home (Marrero, LA) then headed out for a night of fun on Bourbon Street. It was easier to find a parking spot than we thought it would be. The nightlife is amazing and the people watching is even better. Right when we rounded the corner a girl was walking up to a trash can, head first.... You all get the idea. Then there was a man with a Scooby Doo head on, drunk (picture opportunity). Plenty of beads were lining the streets and the smell was worse then any college party you've ever been too.
For our night out we decided to grab a couple of "Big Ass Beers" and walk up and down Bourbon Street and just check out what they had to offer. Night clubs upon strip clubs upon bead throwers, church groups and costumes, beers and shots were everywhere up and down on Bourbon Street. There was live music from jazz to country to rock. Anything, any age (being over 21, even though we saw plenty of baby's) would want, you would find.
After spending plenty of time absorbing Bourbon Street we called it a night. We have a busy day tomorrow seeing what it's all about with the lights on!
Xoxoxo

P.S. pictures are from my phone, didn't want a drunk person breaking my camera :)
