Sabino National Forest

05/05
8 miles + 95 degrees/no clouds = maybe rethink our hike next time.
Looking back on the day now, it was definitely worth the sweat, jelly legs, and sun burn.
Arizona's idea of a waterfall is quite amusing. It looked like a little trickle of water running down a rock. But there was shade under a tree, the water was cool and soothing, plus we brought food and we were hungry!
To make our day more enjoyable we made sure to say hi to everyone person we walked by. One stop we made was to talk to a group of people that was on the side of the mountain just before reaching the end destination. The lady had broken her ankle (we thought about it later, we hope she was leaving the waterfall when she hurt herself, not arriving) and they were waiting for rescue to come, we offered them our warm turkey sandwich or if they needed any help and they laughed and said they had everything under control. Later we thought to ourselves, who would ever take a turkey sandwich from a stranger....it's the thought that counts.
We are headed towards Phoenix, AZ now to pick up my mom from the airport Tuesday morning. So excited!!!!! We will be spending the day tomorrow cleaning and washing the car and doing laundry.
Xoxo

P.S. The pictures are from my phone because why would my camera have the SD card in it?? Whoops.
