Our "new" life

Recently, Michel has become the legal guardian of his nine year old brother. We are having a blast with him but it is very trying. Don't get me wrong he is a good kid, but when you're used to just getting up and going whenever you want or not worrying about  anyone else, the change is challenging. 

His name is Mario. He is very polite and respectful. He will be starting school for the first time (was home schooled) and is very eager to meet friends. We had Jenn (old co-worker) and her almost nine year old son over last night and they had a blast together. They will be going to school together different grades but  share recess and maybe lunch together. 

We've all decided to take it one day at a time and enjoy what we have. He loves playing video games and we don't mind playing with him either. Our inner child comes out! 

So, we shall see how school goes today and we will go from there. This is definitely a life learning lesson for us :)
