DIY American Flag Pallet Boards

You can find numerous amazing pallet board ideas all over Pinterest...basically I want to do them all (if you have pallet boards let me know :-D) 

This one I found the other day and thought it was very cute and patriotic. Also, I needed something for our deck to spruce things up and bit. 

BEFORE:

Cut it in half because you won't need all of it. If you want you can add the other boards to it to make the correct amount of stripes. I did not because our boards were splitting when we tried. 

Spray paint the boards and if you added more boards inbetween from the rest of the pallet then you won't have to put backers behind it. But we added another spray painted board to fill in the spaces.

Then I cut a sponge and shaped it as a star and dipped it into white paint...unfortunatly my star shape was to big because I couldn't fit enough stars :( 

TaDa!!!! Sorry for all you perfectionst I know I do not have enough stripes and stars but it's my first one and still looks cute :)
