"If you build it, they will come"

05/29
Floods, Field of Dreams, and Cable Cars.
Ever since we hit Oregon, the rain has been following us. (We promise to TRY not to bring it home with us.) Today we had a text alert warning us of flash floods in the area we were traveling. Go figure. Luckily we are sleeping farther away then the flood warning area.
As we drove east on route 20 the clouds started to break and the sun was peaking through. Luckily that was at the point where we wanted to venture outside of the car to the Field of Dreams. Everyone, I would hope, knows what the Field of Dreams is - Kevin Costner anyone?
After re-enacting the movie on the baseball field we headed towards downtown Dubuque, Iowa. The area has the worlds steepest, shortest scenic railway. The cable car is called the Fenelon Place Elevator. It was built by a banker for his convenience (quick, lazy way to his house up the hill), it burned a few times, and now is being used for public transportation/cool tourist attraction. Video below:
Beer tasting in Milwaukee,Wi tomorrow and Chicago on Friday!!
Until next time.

Xoxo

P.S. We showered in the rain off the highway...... Exit 62 to be exact.  :)

Flooded roads and now a flash flood warning... I think we will move more East tonight.
